Registration for the Summer 2024 semester is now open, and Manna University is happy to highlight a few of our courses.
In BIB 104 – Hermeneutics, learn the art and science of biblical interpretation under the guidance of Professor Jeffrey Christensen, MA. This on-campus Wednesday night course, running from May 6th to August 18th, is ideal for working adults seeking to understand the Bible’s original context.
MBIB 502 – Old Testament Introduction offers a comprehensive online exploration of the Old Testament with Dr. Jim Murphy. This 15-week course, starting on May 6th and ending on August 18th, delves into interdisciplinary studies and exegetical processes, ideal for students beginning to pursue graduate-level studies.
For those interested in pastoral care and counseling, MCNS 501 – Issues for Pastoral Counseling is a new 8-week online course running from May 6th to June 30th. Led by Dr. Ken Duffy, PhD, LCMHCS, this course serves as the cornerstone for our new Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling degree, offering insights for those seeking to practice biblical counseling in non-clinical settings. It’s essential to note that while this course provides a foundation, none of our counseling degrees qualify graduates for clinical licensure.
We’re also offering BIB 307 – Wisdom Literature, led by our President, Dr. Carlo Serrano. During the Summer 2024 8-week B-Term, from June 24th to August 18th, this course explores the wisdom found within the books of Job, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes. With a focus on historical and cultural contexts, authorship, and contemporary applications, this course is a part of our new Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies program. This course is also an elective for students in our other Bachelor of Arts programs.
