Safe Campus (Title IX)

Manna University complies with the requirements of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. Sec. 1681, et seq., and subsequent regulations, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, race, color, age, national or ethnic origin, physical or mental disability, veteran status, or other protected status in all programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. The Supreme Court, Department of Education, and Office of Civil Rights have confirmed that colleges have an obligation under Title IX to prevent and address harassment against students, regardless of whether the harassment is perpetrated by peers, teachers, or other school officials. 

Manna University is committed to an educational and work environment free from discrimination, harassment and sexual misconduct. The community environment promoted by Manna is rooted in the biblical teachings of a body of believers united in love and care for one another.  Our commitment to a setting free from discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct is defined within this policy, which stipulates that Manna will not tolerate acts perpetrated within the educational community impeding a student’s right to equal access to the education they seek. This policy is designed to protect students from acts alleged to have been committed by fellow students, employees, or visitors to campus. The scope of this policy covers actions taking place on any of the physical campus sites, ministry partner locations where Manna has educational authority and at any event under direct Manna oversight.
