Overview

The Admissions Counselor carries out the functions of admissions services in the areas of
maintaining contact with prospective students, ensuring applications have been adequately
completed, and evaluating specified qualifications of applicants. The Admissions Counselor
reports directly to the CFO.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Make regular contact with prospective students
  • Evaluate whether applications have been completed satisfactorily, and contact those
    whose applications are inadequately completed (in order to assist them to complete their
    applications). Components that must be completed include the Digital Application Form,
    the Application Fee, the Official Transcript(s), the Conversion Essay (Christian
    Testimony), Graduate Admission Essay (Graduate and Doctoral Applicants Only), and
    the Two Recommendation Forms.

  • Inform applicants of acceptance or denial of acceptance.
  • Assist newly-accepted students with Initial Enrollment Advising
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Enrollment Counselor, CFO, or
    Advancement Director

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • An earned associate’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred (but not
    required)
  • Careful attention to data and forms
  • Customer-service orientation and skills
  • Ability to work under the CFO
  • Demonstrates a personal ministry and lifestyle reflective of the mission of Manna
    University
