Alan Winter Fund
A Lifetime of Service in International Missions
This scholarship has been created to honor the legacy of a wise and godly mentor who trained leaders and fostered movements to advance of God’s kingdom around the globe.
In September 1997, Alan and Heidi Winter founded Frontline Missions. For over twenty years, they poured their lives into the Great Commission, developing and cultivating partnerships within the global Church train and equip followers of Jesus to reach the nations for Christ. Alan was the president of Frontline Missions from 1997 until he passed in March of 2017.
Alan was a longtime friend of Dr. Steven Crowther (Manna U President from 2003-2022). They traveled and ministered together throughout Latin America. Alan was also a committed Board Member of Manna University for many years. He would regularly visit, connect (or bring) students from Latin America and would teach a course with us about Storying, teaching students to share the Gospel with oral cultures. Alan made a significant impact here at Manna University and on many people worldwide.
