Exploring Christian Degree Programs at Manna University

Life is hard. Staying grounded in our faith is hard. Today, there are distractions constantly around us. People are leaving local churches and deconstructing their faith. That’s why it’s so important to be proactive about knowing the why behind the what; knowing why we believe, not just what we believe. It’s not enough to believe in God because we always have or because that’s how we grew up. We also need to know answers to hard questions: Why does a good God allow bad things to happen? Why can’t everyone go to heaven? These are just a couple of the hard questions we may encounter. We can learn much about these topics and other difficult ones as we study Scripture, and not just by selecting the scriptures that we think sound like good responses. As we study Scripture, we also need to consider things like context and how individual passages fit into the whole of the Bible. This helps us better understand our faith and answer some of the challenging questions that life and others present to us.

Most of us have easy access to a Bible. Many of us also have access to amazing resources that can help us study and learn more about Scripture. The next step is to actually use them. Here at Manna U, we can come alongside you to help strengthen your foundation. Pairing the resources available to us today with trusted faculty who are experienced Christ-followers, students of Scripture, and leaders creates an environment for learning and life-change.

Do you want to learn more about the Bible? The majority of us would respond to this question with a resounding “Yes!” That’s why I believe anyone and everyone can benefit from taking Biblical Studies courses at Manna University. We offer programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels that facilitate academic study of Scripture. Our Doctor of Ministry program also has a concentration in Biblical Studies. No matter what God has called you to, I believe courses such as Intro to Theology, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and more can strengthen your foundation in your faith and biblical knowledge and better prepare you for your next step.

No one is too young or too old to jump deeper into studying Scripture. Our Certificate in Biblical Studies is ideal for those who want to get right to studying the Bible but don’t want to take General Education courses and don’t need or want an associate or bachelor’s degree. Also, if you prefer on-campus courses, this certificate is available 100% on-campus at our main campus in Fayetteville, NC!

For those looking for a degree option, our Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies provides a strong foundation in Scripture. Our Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies takes that study even further for students who want to deepen their knowledge and application of the Bible. At the graduate level, our Biblical Studies programs are ideal for those in pastoral ministry who preach or teach, those interested in a career in Biblical Studies or Theology, or those who already have a bachelor’s degree and simply want to know more about the Bible. Whether you are looking for a certificate, your first degree, or graduate-level study, there is an option for you. More importantly, no matter what God has called you to do, knowing and understanding His Word will help strengthen the foundation you take with you into whatever comes next.
