Natural Disaster/Unforeseen Phenomenon Policy

In the event of a natural disaster or unforeseen phenomenon, where classes are disrupted, the following process will be followed:

For individual students whose classes are disrupted, professors will work with them on a case-by-case basis to provide assignment extensions, or, if appropriate, to encourage the affected students to request a grade of Incomplete through the Academic Office.

In the event that Manna University is not able to provide online instruction due to a natural disaster or unforeseen phenomenon, the University will work with students on a case-by-case basis to adjust the end date of their current semester if possible, or to provide refunds for the current semester to either Title IV, VA, or directly to the student when appropriate.

In the event that Manna University is not able to provide online instruction for more than one semester, the Academic Office will provide students with a list of biblical higher education institutions who offer teach-out plans or transfer-credit plans that coincide with our Manna University degree programs.  In the event of an institutional closure, Manna University will follow the ABHE procedures for Closing an Institution (ABHE COA Manual p. 176) and adhere to the ABHE teach-out policy (ABHE COA Manual p. 165). The Manna U Academic Office will acquire this list of cooperating biblical higher education institutions from the Association for Biblical Higher Education.

Students who need assistance with any of the above provisions are asked to contact Manna U in one of the following ways:

  • e-mail their professors directly,
  • email helpdesk@manna.edu,
  • email academicdean@manna.edu,
  • or contact our office by phone during business hours.
