The CARES Act allows the U.S. Department of Education to provide higher education institutions with emergency financial aid grants to help students cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus. This is known as the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund – Student Aid (or HEERF- Student Aid).
The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II) is authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA), Public Law 116-260, signed into law by President Donald J. Manna U / Manna University aims to prioritize this funding stream in order to get money in the hands of students who demonstrate significant need as quickly as possible.
Students can complete this form to request HEERF II Student Grant Funds from Manna U/MU. Completed forms will be evaluated and you will be contacted by our administration when a decision is made.
PLEASE NOTE THESE DETAILS:
1) Students who were/are enrolled in at least one Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 course are welcome to apply for HEERF II Student Grant Funds.
2) In order to determine need, this application calls for an applicant’s EFC number. The first step is to complete the FAFSA federal form at this website: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa, designating Manna University as the school you are interested in attending. Manna U’s federal school code is 041737.
3) Applications for HEERF II Student Grant Funds should be submitted by Thursday, February 11.
